Green Eyes was too good looking to say no to. I adore compliments and have a thing for unusual eyes. He whispered sweet nothings to me as I spun my engagement ring round so that the rock would be less obvious. I laughed and pouted and said everything you need to to make a man think he's the only one in the room. Half way through he asked me what I was doing in Beijing...
"Nothing," I said.
"Nothing at all?"
"Nothing. I don't work." Deep breath, I thought, the truth will come out now. "My fiance works." A short pause.
"Really? Lucky you. What's your fiance doing letting you go out without him? A girl could get into trouble."
"I certainly hope so..." I held my breath as Green Eyes leaned forward and gently kissed me. He leaned back and watched me carefully. I gathered my things, grabbing my handbag and coat. He sighed and started to apologise. I turned away and told him to stop. Walking towards the door of the bar I looked back.
"Aren't you coming?"
